Hi! I’m Annalisa.

Thanks for your interest in my studio.

I bring over 3 decades of mind and body practices to my movement education offerings. My approach combines playfulness, empathy, humor and a deep understanding of the body.

  • My mission is to help you be more connected to your body, enabling you to enjoy life with a sense of ease and well being. I support my clients on a journey of transformation and encourage them to find equilibrium in and out of the studio. When we feel at home in our bodies we have more energy for our goals and our relationships. 

  • Pilates is a 100 year old system of movement that makes our core strong,  structure aligned, and mobilizes our spine. This kind of body/mind practice also helps to re-pattern our brain, which is a powerful anti-aging tool.

    Anyone can do pilates! It’s my pleasure to meet you where you are, this is your time to re-center and have fun moving. I tailor each session to meet your needs, goals, and how you’re feeling on any particular day.

  • I am a certified Pilates instructor. My training was focused on a therapeutic approach, which means that I can help you with injuries and chronic patterns of use that aren’t serving you. I also practiced (many styles) of yoga for decades, so that system of movement and philosophy definitely influences the way I teach. In addition, I continue to study the body and different types of movement- I love to learn! So I’m always bringing freshness to my practice and my offerings in the studio.

  • I feel you! We all have places that get stuck. I offer a variety of gentle ways to get moving and re-inhabit the parts of your body that are restricted. I use breath work and props to find ways in to places that are tight or compromised. Bringing movement back is often a great way to release old emotional baggage and feel lighter.

  • Awesome! I’ll set you up with a challenging workout and some deep stretching. I love to see clients break out of old ways of moving and do things they didn’t know were possible. I have a variety of equipment to keep it interesting and playful.

  • Innerspace is based in a new building on a quiet street in Fairfax. The clean and spacious room is filled with natural light and is a perfect place to nurture yourself and learn without distraction. The studio is equipped with a reformer, springboard and lots of other fun props… Join me for 1 to1 sessions that will develop strength, flexibility, balance, and leave you shining from the inside!
